Challenges on livestock operations are inherently complex. Odor, ammonia, moisture, manure handling, feed efficiency, and the working environment all have to be managed simultaneously within a single site.
KMI natural clinoptilolite zeolite serves as a supporting material for these interconnected challenges and is evaluated across a wide range of species, including poultry, swine and cattle. In particular, for feed-additive use, under the US FDA GRAS regulation (21 CFR Parts 182.2729 & 582.2729), addition is permitted up to a maximum of 2% of the total feed mix for anti-caking purposes. It is also OMRI Listed (KMI-10365) and has received an Allowed determination as an organic Livestock Feed Ingredient.
For feed blending, 100 mesh or finer (<150μm, median 50μm) powder is primarily used; for barn bedding and floor material blends, a 14×40 mesh (0.4–1.4mm) medium grade is used; and for manure composting, 30×50 mesh to 14×40 mesh is evaluated.
