What to Check Before Choosing a Field
In any field, the actual performance of zeolite can vary depending on particle size, physical properties, operating conditions, and process design. First define your application objective, then check the recommended particle size and evaluation criteria on the relevant field's page.
Zeolite Application Fields
KMI natural clinoptilolite zeolite is not limited to a single use. Based on its microporous structure and ion-exchange properties—97.0% purity, CEC of 1.6–2.0 meq/g, and pore diameters of 4.0–7.0 Å—it is being extensively evaluated across six major industrial fields: environmental remediation, water treatment, agriculture, livestock, construction, and the living environment. In particular, its high selectivity for the ammonium (NH₄⁺) ion and its adsorption capacity for heavy metals such as Pb²⁺, Cu²⁺, Cd²⁺, Zn²⁺, and Ni²⁺ are key characteristics drawing attention in the environmental sector.
KMIZEOLITE is supplied in a wide range of particle-size grades—from 100-mesh and finer powder (pozzolan, feed), 30×50 mesh fine grain (water treatment, soil), 14×40 mesh medium grain (filter beds, bedding), and 8×14 mesh coarse grain (swimming pools, de-icing) to 4×8 mesh extra-coarse grain (large packed beds, air scrubbers)—so you can select the optimal particle size for your application.

Field-by-Field Guide
Environmental Remediation & Adsorption
Covers environmental challenges across the board, including ammonia removal, heavy-metal adsorption (Pb²⁺, Cu²⁺, Cd²⁺), odor and VOC management, oil-spill response, wastewater and biogas processes, and waste stabilization. The 30×50 mesh to 14×40 mesh grades are primarily evaluated. → View Environmental Remediation & Adsorption
Water Treatment & Filtration
Introduces its use as a filtration and purification support material across diverse aquatic environments, from drinking water, wastewater, and swimming pools to aquaculture and aquariums. The 8×14 mesh grade is mainly used to replace or supplement sand filter media, while the 30×50 mesh grade is used for aquariums. → View Water Treatment & Filtration
Agriculture & Horticulture
Covers its use across the full plant-growing environment, including soil improvement, fertilizer-efficiency management (N, K adsorption), reduced ammonia in compost, smart farms and hydroponics, landscaping, and golf-course turf. As an OMRI Listed product (approved for organic use), it can also be applied in organic farming. → View Agriculture & Horticulture
Livestock & Feed
Covers species-specific feed addition for poultry, pigs, and cattle/dairy cows (FDA GRAS basis, up to a maximum of 2%), as well as bedding and deodorization, manure composting, biogas processes, and improved pellet flowability. The 100-mesh powder is evaluated for feed mixing. → View Livestock & Feed
Construction & Industrial Materials
Introduces construction and industrial fields, including natural pozzolan (ASTM C618) admixtures, concrete and mortar additives, stucco, paints and coatings, warm-mix asphalt, and de-icing and anti-slip applications. The reactive silica content—66.7% SiO₂—is the key to the pozzolanic reaction. → View Construction & Industrial Materials
Home & Pets
Covers everyday uses such as indoor deodorization and humidity control, improving the pet environment, cat-litter additives, plant and garden care, and managing household spills. Having PASSED the EN-71-3 European toy safety standard, its safety for household use has been confirmed. → View Home & Pets
What to Check Before Choosing a Field
In any field, the actual performance of zeolite can vary depending on particle size, physical properties, operating conditions, and process design. First define your application objective, then check the recommended particle size and evaluation criteria on the relevant field's page. If you find it difficult to choose a particle size, refer to the product guide by mesh size, or run a preliminary test through a sample request.
