Thanks to its cation exchange capacity of CEC 1.6–2.0 meq/g and its 4.0–7.0 Å microporous structure, KMI natural clinoptilolite zeolite has long been studied as a material that supports both of these challenges when mixed into the soil. In particular, its role in adsorbing and retaining nitrogen (N) and potassium (K) to improve fertilizer efficiency, enhancing soil water retention, and reducing ammonia emissions during composting has attracted attention.
KMIZEOLITE holds OMRI Listed (KMI-10365, approved for organic use) certification, making it applicable to organic cultivation as well. It is also a CDFA (California Department of Food and Agriculture) registered product that meets agricultural specification standards. In the agriculture and horticulture sector, 30×50 mesh (0.3–0.6 mm) fine grades are mainly evaluated for soil blending, while 100 mesh and finer (<150 μm) powders are evaluated for fertilizer formulation and adsorption.
